A strategic designer focusing on delivering experiences with humane principles. In addition to working with Elisa, Angelos is the executive producer of Joint Futures. For the past 10 years, he has been working with startups and products, both in early and high growth stage. Angelos is a community organizer at Designer Hangout, one of the largest design-related slack communities globally (15.000+ members!). He is also one of the main instigators of DesignOps Helsinki meet-up community. Alumnus organizer of DSCONF, & Junction – europe's biggest hackathon. In his free time, Angelos is making music, and enjoying computer games.

Anssi Grekula

Service Designer

My job is to improve the B2B customer experience of Elisa, focusing on companies with less than 10 employees.

We do this by running small CX-experiments, measuring their impact, and then deciding on whether to scale the new model or not.

I’m mostly working to improve our processes and communication to the customers, instead of dealing with pixel-perfect user interfaces.

I don’t consider myself a ready-made professional designer. I’m at learning stage, and planning to stay that way for good. For me the perfect design is something that fulfills its purpose so effortlessly you barely notice it. Design should not stand out, but rather blend in and make the task at hand feel natural and smooth.

I don’t have any ultimate design motto to share, but being curious and deeply questioning the current is a solid base to start. Brainstorming while sipping a pint of good beer is proven to be pretty efficient too.

I’ve been working with big and small organisations, co-founded start-ups and joint ventures (some of them still exists). I still get excited about small details as well as the big picture.

I’ve been in many meetings where the world “Change” has been mentioned several times. Over the time I’ve realised that change is in one part technical, but it’s more social, behavioural and cultural change. I want create value which makes people’s life better and cause no unnecessary harm to other creatures — and by doing so, creating better business.
